Fox News Channel wants 13 more episodes of the news spoof developed by “24” executive producer Joel Surnow.

“The ½ Hour News Hour” won the order by winning and improving ratings for its 10 p.m. time slot on two recent Sundays. When the show returns to the Fox News lineup, it will be at 10 p.m. Sundays.

The first two installments averaged nearly 1.4 million viewers, a 72 percent increase from the first quarter of 2007 for the time slot, and 443,000 adults 25 to 54, a 108 percent increase over the same period, according to data from Nielsen Media Research.

Mr. Surnow and Manny Coto executive produce the show, which features actors Kurt Long and Jenn Robertson delivering satirical takes on current events and issues.
