The Warner Bros. Television Group has promoted publicity executive Sharan Magnuson to a newly created position overseeing the company’s array of production and distribution departments.

The new communications structure unites several departments under one executive for the first time.

Ms. Magnuson will oversee Warner Bros. Television Group’s five production divisions: Warner Bros. Television, Warner Horizon Television, Telepictures Productions, Warner Bros. Animation and Studio 2.0. Also, Ms. Magnuson will oversee communications for the company’s three distribution units, Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution, Warner Bros. Domestic Cable Distribution and Warner Bros. International Television Distribution.

The consolidation places the studio’s TV publicity and marketing operations under the worldwide television marketing division headed by Lisa Gregorian, executive vice president of worldwide marketing.

“Our goal in establishing the worldwide television marketing unit was to create a unified marketing and communications department that speaks in one voice about our content to all constituencies, and we are thrilled to have Sharan heading up publicity for this group,” Ms. Gregorian said.
