Matt Seiler was named president and CEO of PHD North America, a media agency owned by Omnicom Group. Mr. Seiler has been president of PHD since September 2004.

At the same time, Steve Grubbs, who had been president of PHD North America, was named CEO of Fuse Sports and Entertainment Group North America, a new unit made up of three specialty divisions of Omnicom Media.

FuseSports & Entertainment consists of Optimum Entertainment, Optimum Sports, Full Circle Entertainment and Highway Entertainment.

Mr. Grubbs said the new post gives him an opportunity to pursue his passion for sports and keep a hand in entertainment. “I think we can create something powerful and compelling,” he said.

Under Mr. Seiler, PHD has been restructured to look at client business holistically, rather than simply through its media usage. The agency also introduced ETNA – Exploration, Thoughtleader, Neuroplanning and Actionplanning – a new proprietary planning framework designed to generate ideas.
