ABC and CBS tied for the lead in the preliminary Nielsens Monday night, while NBC’s new improvisational reality show “Thank God You’re Here” had a strong premiere.

A 90-minute “Dancing With the Stars” on ABC had an on-par 4.8 rating among adults 18 to 49, followed by the second installment of “The Bachelor: Officer and a Gentleman” (down slightly to a 3.4 from its premiere last week). ABC won the night in total households.

CBS’s comedy block included “How I Met Your Mother” (3.1), “The New Adventures of Old Christine” (3.0), “Two and a Half Men” (4.5) and the strong return of “The King of Queens” (4.6). At 10 p.m., “CSI: Miami” hit a series low (4.6).

For second place, Fox and NBC also were tied for the night. Fox had a repeat and “24” (4.4, matching its season low).

NBC aired “Deal or No Deal” (3.1, matching its previous Monday-night low). That was followed by the premiere of “Thank God You’re Here” (4.0), with a second episode at 10 p.m. (3.3).

The CW had repeats.
