CBS Makes Connections

CBS Corp. formed a new cross-platform sales and marketing unit called CBS Connections.

The new unit will offer advertising opportunities combining CBS Entertainment, CBS News, CBS Interactive, CBS Sports, CBS Paramount Television, CBS Television Distribution, CSTV, Showtime, CBS Radio and CBS Outdoor.

CBS Connections will work with CBS Riot, a cross-platform sales unit focused on local opportunities.

Senior VP Fred Sawabini was named head of CBS Connections, reporting to Jo Ann Ross, president of sales for the CBS Television Network. Before he joined CBS in January, Mr. Sawabini was vice president of Viacom Plus, a cross-platform unit formed when CBS was part of Viacom.

“Through CBS Connections, we are fully equipped to deliver the integrated, creative solutions that Madison Avenue is looking for,” Ms. Ross said in a statement Tuesday. “The combined national reach of our television, radio, outdoor and interactive properties allows us to work hand-in-glove with a broad range of clients to develop customized media marketing ideas.”
