GLAAD Honors Trio of ABC Shows

GLAAD Media Awards were scheduled to be handed out Saturday night at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood.

Among winners of the prizes — which recognize fair, accurate and inclusive representations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community — were, in the TV categories, ABC’s “Brothers & Sisters” for drama series; ABC’s “Ugly Betty,” comedy series; and the “Where the Boys Are” episode of ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy,” individual episode.

Additional GLAAD awards were presented March 26 in New York to “All Aboard! Rosie’s Family Cruise” (HBO) for documentary; “Project Runway” (Bravo) for reality program; “All My Children” (ABC) for daily drama; the “Wives Confess They Are Gay” installment of “The Oprah Winfrey Show” (syndicated/CBS Television Distribution) for talk show episode; and the “Forbidden Love” installment of “Nightline” (ABC) for TV journalism — newsmagazine.

The GLAAD Media Awards will be televised on Logo April 21.
