Fox’s “American Idol” and ABC’s “Lost” were the clear ratings leaders Wednesday night, which also saw time-period premieres for ABC’s “Notes From the Underbelly” and NBC’s “Thank God You’re Here.”

On Fox, a “Bones” repeat was followed by the “Idol” results show (10.9 rating among adults 18 to 49), leading Fox to win the night in the demo and households.

Second-place ABC had “According to Jim” (2.2) followed by “Underbelly” (2.4), both strong numbers compared to recent ABC comedy performances in the hour. At 9 p.m. the network had a “Lost” repeat, followed by an original (5.1).

CBS had “Jericho” (2.3) and repeats.

In fourth place, NBC presented “Thank God” (2.7), down from its Monday preview specials, but an improvement in the time period compared to “Friday Night Lights.”

The CW had “America’s Next Top Model” (2.6) and a “Pussycat” repeat.
