Online video site Revver struck a deal with technology provider Intent MediaWorks to distribute viral videos on peer-to-peer networks. The deal will bring Revver’s advertising revenue model to the videos making the rounds on peer-to-peer systems, the companies said.

Under the agreement, Revver will be able to distribute “thousands” of user-generated videos, with ads included, across peer-to-peer networks. Revver creators are paid a share of ad dollars based on video views.

Intent also will supply videos to Revver, such as music and other entertainment content.

Intent provides technology that enables legal distribution of licensed digital media on the Web and on peer-to-peer networks.
