National Geographic Entertainment has bought all rights, including television and DVD rights, to the immigrant film “Amreeka,” the Hollywood Reporter says. The film, which was popular with audiences at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, is about a Palestinian mother and singer who ends up living in rural Illinois and working at a White Castle, the trade paper says.
