One of the longtime hosts of a popular chat show is leaving the show after making a tearful announcement today on the air. Aisha Tyler broke down as she announced her plan to bow out after six seasons as a host on CBS’s “The Talk.”

Tyler, who is also a cast member on CBS’s “Criminal Minds,” said she’s leaving “The Talk” to seize the opportunity to pursue a directing career. She said she will leave at the end of the show’s current season.
