A baaaaad situation in which two goats found their way onto the subway tracks in New York ended well when the goats were safely loaded onto a transport vehicle to be taken to Farm Sanctuary — with former “Daily Show” host Jon Stewart aiding in the rescue.
The goats were initially subdued by police using tranquilizers, the AP reports, after a train operator alerted headquarters to their presence on the tracks along the N Line in Brooklyn. It was not known how they got there.
After the animals were relocated to an animal shelter, Stewart was part of the team loading them up for transit to Farm Sanctuary. The comedian and his wife reportedly frequently assist with the transportation of animals — and a video of the event, seen below, does give the impression that Stewart has done it before.
