B&C and Multichannel News Acquired by NewBay Media B&C, LA Times

Three Reed Business Information media publications -- Broadcasting & Cable, Multichannel News and This Week in Consumer Electronics (TWICE) -- have been purchased by NewBay Media, reports B&C.

The publications join the NewBay lineup that includes TV Technology and Television Broadcast. Steve Palm, CEO of NewBay Media, said in a statement about the purchase,

According to the Los Angeles Times, NewBay LLC is owned by a private equity firm, The Wicks Group, and publishes 40 publications and newsletters.
