Murdoch, speaking at a Federal Trade Commission workshop on the future of journalism, offered three points for today’s journalism: First, media has to innovate to deliver the news people want, when and where they want it; second, consumers must be convinced to pay for online news and information; and third, the government must be persuaded to clear the path by reducing obstacles in the path of investment and innovators.
