Tom O’Brien, the former president and GM of WNBC-TV New York, has landed a new gig as chief revenue officer at CNBC, reports B&C.
This is a new position for the company, which–like WNBC–is part of the NBC Universal group. The assignment is effective immediately, with O’Brien reporting to CNBC President Mark Hoffman.
In a statement, Hoffman said, "I am confident that under Tom’s leadership, CNBC’s growth will go from strong to stronger."
“From strong to stronger”, huh…Has anyone seen WNBC lately? Didn’t think so.
