The New York Post’s Claire Atkinson reports that another private-equity firm is eyeing Yahoo!: KKR & Co.
KKR is interested in either helping Yahoo go private or helping it finance a deal, the story says. KKR co-founder George Roberts is friendly with Jerry Yang, one of Yahoo’s founders, the article notes.
The private-equity giant’s interest is separate from that of other private-equity firms that have talked with AOL about creating a deal to combine the two Internet companies.
