MTV, VH1 and Viacom Sued Over Reality Show

New York Daily News gossip columnists George Rush and Joanna Molloy have filed a $30,000 lawsuit against MTV, VH1, their parent Viacom and two production companies for breach of contract, reports

According to the suit, Rush and Molloy pitched a reality TV show about their assistants at work, Sean Evans and Shallon Lester, which evolved into the show "Downtown Girls." The show focused on Lester and a few other female assistants not connected to Rush and Molloy.

Rush and Molloy allege they did not receive the producer credit or fees they were promised. The show ran for six episodes on MTV during summer 2010.

MTV said through a spokesperson that the network had not yet reviewed the claim.
