Anderson Cooper Denies Report in Presidential Oil Commission Report That He Demanded An 'Angry' Oil Worker for His Show NY Post's Page Six
Anderson Cooper is denying an item in the final report from the Presidential Oil Spill Commission that says he asked a local official to find an angry, out-of-work oil worker for his show, the New York Post's Page Six reports.
According to the report, Cooper "reportedly asked a parish president [local official] to bring an angry, unemployed offshore oil worker on his show. When the [official] could not promise the worker would be 'angry,' both were disinvited," the article says.
A representative for Cooper said that the claim "is completely false." The rep added that the claim journalists "were encouraging residents and state and local leaders to 'display their anger at the federal response' is offensive," the article notes.
