An actress who played was on the "Order" side of  the canceled "Law & Order," will be resurrecting her character for "Law & Order: Los Angeles, reports the Los Angeles TImes Show Tracker blog.

The character is Assistant DA Connie Rubirosa, played by Alana de la Garza. The actress had joined "Law & Order" in 2006, although the series was cancelled last year. Her first appearance will be later this season, the story notes.

As we previously reported, series creator Dick Wolf is overseeing a creative overhaul of the show, with Skeet Ulrich, the first actor to be cast on "Law & Order: Los Angeles" leaving the program.
