MSNBC is considering hiring one of CNN’s regular contributors to help fill out its evening lineup following the departure of Keith Olbermann, reports the New York Post’s Page Six.

Roland Martin is being considered to take over the 6 p.m. time slot that had been anchored by Ed Schultz, the story says. With Olbermann’s departure, Schultz has been moved to 10 p.m., with Lawrence O’Donnell taking over Olbermann’s 8 p.m. time period and Cenk Uygur also filling in.

The story notes that Uygur is also being considered for the 6 p.m. time slot.

Martin already works for Comcast, MSNBC’s new owner, as a commentator for Comcast-owned TV One and the host of “Washington Watch With Roland Martin,” which airs Sunday mornings on TV One.

A representative for MSNBC denied that the network is talking with Martin, the story notes.
