NBC Picks Up Supernatural Cop Drama From 'Galactica' Exec Producer Deadline.com

The man who resurrected "Battlestar Galactica," executive producer Ron Moore, has had his latest drama given a thumbs up by NBC, reports Deadline.com.

The show, described as a supernatural cop enemble series, is "17th Precinct." Sony Pictures TV is producing.

Set in the fictional town of Excelsior, a "Harry Potter" kind of place were magic is not uncommon, "17th Precinct" is the second pilot pickup for NBC so far this year, following “Playboy.”
