‘Glee’ Sold for Syndication to Fox TV Stations

Twentieth Television and the Fox Television Stations announced today that they have signed a deal for broadcast syndication rights to the Fox Network hit “Glee.”

The announcement was made today by Paul Franklin, EVP, General Sales Manager, Broadcast, for Twentieth Television and Frank Cicha, Senior Vice President of Programming, Fox Television Stations.

“Brilliantly combining drama, comedy, song and dance, ‘Glee’ has ushered in a fresh, primetime network television experience; we are now thrilled to bring the incredible talents of [show creator] Ryan Murphy and the cast of ‘Glee’ to weekend syndication beginning in fall 2013,” said Franklin.

The show is now cleared on the Fox Television Stations in the following markets: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, Washington, D.C., Houston, Minneapolis, Phoenix, Orlando and Baltimore.

Last Sunday’s special episode of “Glee,” which aired after Super Bowl XLV, had more than 26 million viewers, the highest total for any scripted program in the past three years, the company’s reported.
