A Southern California weatherman has hired celebrity attorney Gloria Allred, known for her cases involving women’s rights, and filed a lawsuit claiming he was discriminated against by two CBS stations because he wasn’t a young, attractive woman, according to The Hollywood Reporter’s Hollywood, Esq. blog.

Kyle Hunter filed the lawsuit against CBS Broadcasting and its stations KCBS-TV and KCAL-TV, alleging "within the past few years, KCAL and KCBS decided to hire young attractive women as weathercasters in prime time rather than men in order to induce more men to watch their prime time newscasts," according to the lawsuit.

Hunter asked a manager at KCAL why he had been passed over for a job at the station, and was told, "You wouldn’t be the type men would want to look at," the story notes, citing the complaint.

The stations didn’t immediately return calls seeking comment. The lawsuit is seeking unspecified damages.
