ABC Pulls Plug on Fred Willard’s Show

Two weeks after actor Fred Willard was arrested on a lewd conduct charge, ABC is pulling the remaining original episodes of his improv show "Trust Us With Your Life," according to The Hollywood Reporter.

As previously reported, Willard was arrested in a Hollywood adult movie theater with his genitals allegedly exposed. Willard has since said it was a "big misunderstanding" and that "it did not happen."

He joked about the incident on NBC’s “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” — see the video here.

"Trust Us" has been low rated, scoring a 0.6 average rating in adults 18 to 49 last week and just 1.83 million viewers. That makes the show ABC’s lowest-rated broadcast of the summer, the piece adds.

The show will be replaced with repeats of "Wipeout."
