Chevy Chase Unleashes 'N-Word' on 'Community' Set THR, TVLine
Chevy Chase, reportedly frustrated with his character on the NBC comedy "Community," used the N-word on the set while venting his anger, then immediately apologized to his colleagues, according to The Hollywood Reporter's Live Feed.
Chase reportedly used the slur when he questioned dialogue between two African-American castmates, Donald Glover and Yvette Nicole Brown. According to the story, the word wasn't directed at them.
Production was briefly interrupted after the slur, reports TVLine.com. Chase issued a formal apology to the cast and crew, the story notes. Reps for NBC and Chase declined to comment.

Really???
I do not care how "frustrated" he might have been there is no excuse for his utilizing the N-word. I quess he was just mirroring his life outside of the show.
I will not be supporting him any any endeavor going forward.

He used to be funny, now he's just a pitiful, overweight has-been who should go away. Community is too good a show to have him be such a jerk on- and off-set. The sooner he retires to the old folks home, the better!

Yes, just like GMA F-Bomb... Marketing. If it wasn't, This is still America, where we have freedom of speech (Although, not condoning the behavior). He has a right to say it. According to the laws of the USA, he can be racist, in words. But not action. Canada, UK, Ireland... he could face a tribunal and face prison. But we are not those places.
