Here’s something connected with Lance Armstrong that’s actually gone UP in value due to his confessing that he took performance-enhancing drugs when he was a professional cyclist.

It’s the price of a 30-second commercial in the upcoming two-part interview with Armstrong that Oprah Winfrey conducted for her program "Oprah’s Next Chapter" on her fledgling OWN network.

According to sources familiar with the ad pricing for the show, a 30-second spot duing the interview is going for somewhere around the $40,000 range for those advertisers seeking to be in the show as a one-time opportunity. That would be measured against the audience of adults 18-49 who will tune in to the interview.

Comparatively, "Oprah’s Next Chapter" usually gets about $12,000-$15,000 per 30-second commercial in the demo.

Oprah’s two-part interview with Armstrong airs on OWN on Thursday and Friday nights, Jan. 17-18, 2013.
