Retired tennis pro Andy Roddick has a new television job. Deadline.com reports that Roddick, the champion of the 2003 U.S. Open, is joining the new Fox Sports 1 network, which will debut Aug. 17.

Roddick will co-host "Fox Sports Live," the network’s flagship news and highlights show, joining Jay Onrait and Dan O’Toole, who were previously tapped as the primary highlight team, the piece adds.

Fox Sports 1 is aiming to turn "Fox Sports Live" into the network’s version of ESPN’s "SportsCenter." Roddick has been one of the top male U.S. tennis players for years, but retired last August at the age of 30.
