NBC Sports will continue its support of the biggest U.S. gun trade show, which will be held this week in Las Vegas, reports Bloomberg.

NBC Sports Network will be the 2013 SHOT (Shooting, Hunting, Outdoor Trade) Show New Product Center Sponsor, even after longtime NBC host Bob Costas criticized gun laws following the murder-suicide of Jovan Belcher, a pro football player who killed his girlfriend before taking his own life, the story notes.

NBC Sports Network has sponsored the show for several years, the story notes, citing a spokesman for the network. Formerly called Versus, the channel airs hunting and fishing shows and is a sponsor of the gun show because of its "commitment to our outdoor-programming block,” the spokesman said.
