NewsMakers: Scott Lauritzen

Entertainment marketing firm Lussier has hired Scott Lauritzen as senior VP and creative director. Mr. Lauritzen most recently spent 31/2 years as senior VP of on-air promotion at Fox Broadcasting Co., where he was responsible for all of the network's prime-time entertainment programming creative advertising.
Mr. Lauritzen joined Fox in 1992 as a writer and producer. Advancing to manager of comedy promotion, he was awarded creative control over the network's on-air comedy advertising initiatives. As director and VP of comedy promotion, he played a pivotal role in developing award-winning campaigns for "American Idol," "The Simpsons," "Family Guy," "Arrested Development," "Malcolm in the Middle" and "That '70s Show." He earned a Los Angeles Area Emmy Award and several Promax Gold Muse awards for many of these assignments.
A graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, with a Bachelor of Science in mass communication, Mr. Lauritzen is an active member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and Promax/BDA. He resides in Bell Canyon, Calif., with his wife and two children.
