Hugh Hefner will be getting a lifetime achievement award during the second annual “Guys Choice” awards on Spike TV.
The Playboy founder will get his prize from another guys’ favorite, Pamela Anderson. The award show, to be taped May 30 in California, will air June 22 on the cable network.
The network says the two-hour special is designed to pay homage to the things guys love most: athletes, music, comedy and beautiful women.
Online voting has begun at spike.com/guyschoice in other categories, including Hottest Girl on the Planet, Fiercest Female and Hot ’n’ Fresh.
Jessica Biel and Scarlett Johansson are the finalists for Hottest Girl. Milla Jovovich and Summer Glau face off for Fiercest Female. Voters must choose between Meagan Good and Marisa Miller for the Hot ’n’ Fresh prize.
There’s also a category for Luckiest Bastard. The nominees are Brian Austin Green, who’s dating Megan Fox, and Rhys Ifans, who spoons with Sienna Miller.
For guys with other things on their mind, Jason Bourne takes on Iron Man in the Biggest Ass Kicker category, while the King of Comedy category pits Seth Rogen against Chris Rock. The Play of the Year is between the Colorado Rockies’ Matt Holliday scoring in the Major League Baseball playoffs and the New York Giants’ David Tyree’s big catch in the Super Bowl.
The official sponsors of “Guys Choice” are AT&T, Corona beer, Degree Men antiperspirant, “The Incredible Hulk” video game, SoBe beverages and the U.S. Army.
Beth McCarthy-Miller and Carol Donovan are executive producers along with Casey Patterson, Spike TV’s senior VP of event production and talent development.
