CBS College Sports Network is now available in high definition on cable, satellite and video.

The network, which covers 35 types of college sporting events, will simulcast an MPEG-4 feed to offer multiple live programs in HD across distribution channels.

CBS College Sports HD also will offer upconverted simulcasts of the CBS standard-definition college sports service, and plans to produce college football programming in HD this fall.

“Fans now demand their sports in high definition and we’re thrilled to bring the HD experience to viewers nationwide,” said Bob Rose, the network’s executive VP of distribution, in a statement. “CBS College Sports Network continues to grow across all platforms, and the conversion to HD further demonstrates our commitment to providing fans and distributors with relevant and compelling content on the screens they want to watch it.”
