Dish Network will take advantage of the Federal Communications Commission’s announcement that Wilmington, N.C., will switch to digital television early by making its DTV-to-analog converter boxes available to the market before the Sept. 8 analog cutoff date, Broadcasting & Cable reports. The converter box, which could be widely available this summer, will cost less than the government’s $40 coupon, the newspaper says.
