Showtime has pulled the trigger on “Lock ’n’ Load,” a reality series set in a Colorado gun shop.
The network has ordered six half-hour episodes of the series, which will debut in 2009. It will focus on Josh Ryan, a salesman at the Shootist gun shop in Englewood, Colo.
Episodes will focus on why various customers decide to buy guns and how Mr. Ryan sells them.
Tom Rogan and Lauren Lexton will executive produce “Lock ’n’ Load” via Authentic Entertainment.
Meanwhile, Showtime Entertainment President Bob Greenblatt on Friday renewed “Penn & Teller: Bullshit” for a seventh season. The pickup makes “Bullshit” the pay cable channel’s longest-running series. The network has ordered 10 episodes for next year.
