“The Tyra Banks Show” is moving from first-run syndication to daytime on the CW for the start of its fifth season in 2009, the CW and Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution announced today.

“Tyra” will have double runs at 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. on the CW, replacing Warner Bros.’s “Judge Jeanine Pirro” at 3 p.m. The court show, which had aired exclusively on the CW, will make the leap to syndication and become available to stations as a first-run show for 2009.

Under the terms of the agreement, stations currently airing “Tyra” will continue to air new episodes until the end of the 2008-09 season.

“We are excited to join forces with the CW to bring ‘The Tyra Banks Show’ to the network for its fifth season, Ken Werner, president of Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution said in a statement. “In its four seasons on the air, the show has built a devoted audience among women 18–49 while helping stations grow among the young female viewers that associate strongly with Tyra herself.”

“I’m thrilled to have ‘The Tyra Banks Show’ join the CW, where I already have an amazing partnership and where my audience knows to look for me,” Ms. Banks said in the statement. “With ‘Top Model’ in primetime and ‘The Tyra Banks Show’ in daytime, it’s a match made in heaven.”
