MLB Network Adds Burns’ ‘Baseball’ to Lineup
MLB Network will air the Ken Burns documentary series “Baseball” as part of its programming launch when the channel goes live Jan. 1.
The Major League Baseball-themed channel will air a new episode, or inning, every week starting Tues., Jan. 6, at 8 p.m., with future innings airing Tuesday and Thursday nights in February.
The announcement comes as MLB Network reveals more information about the network in anticipation of its New Year’s Day launch.
The nine innings in the series will air on the following dates at 8 p.m.: “Our Game,” Tues., Jan. 6; “Something Like a War,” Tues., Jan. 13; “The Faith of 50 Million People,” Tues., Jan. 20; “A National Heirloom,” Tues., Jan. 27; “Shadow Ball,” Tues., Feb. 10; “The National Pastime,” Thurs., Feb. 12; “The Capital of Baseball,” Tues., Feb. 17; “A Whole New Ballgame,” Thurs., Feb. 19; “Home,” Tues., Feb. 24.

Please no more articles about the MLB Network. It is so depressing. I will have to switch to DirecTV to get this, all because MLB and Dish Network couldn't play nice together and get a contract signed. This sucks!

First let me say, I saw the original airing of this documentry on PBS and enjoyed it tremendously. Followed by total dismay of the total lack of caring by allowing this wonderful documentry to be oblivieated by advertising disruptions every five or so minutes it seemed. Don't you think limited advertising would have been the more responsible way to approach this wonderful film? It seems this is a no brainer.

I wanted to share with you a great site I just came across teaching Krav Maga like they teach it in the Israeli Army (IDF) If you guys have seen the Tv Show called Fight Quest you would have seen their chief instructor Ran Nakash there featured on their Krav Maga episode. Anyways, let me know what you think. Is training via the internet something you would do?

Hi all, I'm Allison and one of two primary caregivers for my 73-year-old mother, who was diagnosed two days ago with a recurrence of her ovarian cancer. She was initially diagnosed in October 2007, had surgery followed by chemotherapy from November 2007 - May 2008 and was declared cancer free in July 2008. Now it's back.
