MTV today announced plans to bring back a show that was a staple on the cable network in the 1990s. USA Today reports that the channel is reviving “House of Style,” with new episodes set to launch Oct. 9.
The new version of the show will be “digitally driven,” the network says, with much of the content appearing online.
Cindy Crawford hosted the show in its early ’90s heyday.
USA Today reports: “In case you missed ‘House of Style’s’ glory days, MTV has also just posted a bunch of vintage clips. (They’re impossible to find on YouTube.) Some classic moments include Crawford’s interview with Sonic Youth’s Kim Gordon about her X-Girl fashion line; the famous clip that shows supermodel Naomi Campbell putting zit cream on her face; and, oddly enough, a makeover segment with the late Dee Dee Ramone [see below].”
