"The X Factor" creator Simon Cowell is working with musician Will.i.am on a show that will search for the next Bill Gates or Steve Jobs, reports the U.K. publication The Sun.

Will.i.am called the project "X Factor for Tech." The two media moguls worked out the idea during a dinner in Los Angeles last month, the story notes.

"Singing and performance create a couple of jobs. But this will create lots," Will.i.am said, according to the report. He revealed the collaboration while speaking at a London technology conference, the piece adds.
