Report: Talk Show Host’s ‘Cold’ Behavior Offends Audience Members — and Viewer Numbers Are Lagging

A high-profile talk show host has reportedly been offending staffers and members of the studio audience with “standoffish” behavior. The New York Post’s Page Six reports that some audience members have complained to producers about the behavior of daytime host Bethenny Frankel.

Frankel reportedly walks in and out for taping, but otherwise avoids interacting with the studio audience and her own staff, the story says.

"Another source said Frankel’s awkward lack of interaction extends to her own staff, with some saying she ‘isn’t around for the producing and planning of the shows,’" the story reports.

But another insider at the show was supportive of Frankel, saying: “There’s not a single solitary aspect of the show that Bethenny is not involved in, from every flower in her guests’ dressing room to the paint on the walls, to every single meeting.”

The show, “Bethenny,” has had soft ratings since its September debut, drawing about 1 million viewers and falling behind rival shows from Queen Latifah (1.5 million), Wendy Williams (1.7 million) and Steve Harvey (2 million).

  1. This and more, in the next issue of “DUH!” Magazine.
I would imagine that the reason she does not interact is that wealthy men do not frequent the show.
