Forbes magazine has released its annual list of highest-paid actresses, and in the No. 1 spot is an Oscar and Golden Globe winner.
That person is Sandra Bullock, who made $51 million in the past year, according to Forbes. That’s $17 million more than the No. 2 actress on the list, Jennifer Lawrence, who, Forbes said, made $34 million over the past year.
The article notes, “Despite Bullock’s impressive showing, women are still earning less than men in Hollywood. Our ten top-earning actors brought in a combined $419 million during our time frame (between June 2013 and June 2014) while the top ten actresses brought in just a little over half of that — $226 million.”

Or, you could look at who continues to be the richest female celebrity.
The salary comparison is specious at best, as a better comparison would be how those women were compensated compared to men in the same films for similar roles.
In particular, many of the salaries listed include amounts paid for film performance.
