A new multiplatform TV service is taking shape, and like a number of other recent startups, it is taking aim at the U.S. Hispanic and Latin American market.

Variety reports that L.A.-based Mexican producer Alex Garcia, of AG Studios, plans to launch AG Networks, starting with the fantasy/horror-themed Morbido TV in late 2015. Garcia has stakes in Mexico’s Morbido and Los Cabos film festivals.

Other themed channels are planned for the future, Variety says. Garcia told Variety he hopes to start with three or more distribution carriage deals for Morbido TV.

Morbido TV’s programming will include “acquired films, festival pics, TV series and classic archival material from around the world,” Variety reports. Content will air in its original language, with Spanish, English and Portuguese subtitles, as needed.

Original productions will include filmmaker interviews and fantasy-horror film festival coverage.
