Host Ryan Seacrest has revealed a big change in Fox’s one-time TV juggernaut, “American Idol.”

With “Idol” entering its 14th season on Jan 7th, 2015, “Seacrest revealed that the show’s [separate] results show will now be a thing of the past,” reports The Hollywood Reporter.

The story continues, “ ‘We are going to do the performance show and the results in the same show,’ said the show’s longtime host backstage at Madison Square Garden [on Friday night, Dec. 12, 2014].”

The article adds, “Seacrest said this change in programming — similar to the performance night/results format of ‘Dancing With The Stars’ — will take effect once the show gets into the final stretch. ‘[It will be] one night when we get to the final stage, the top ten, there will be one night of performances and results all in one night,’ he said.”
