‘X Factor New Zealand’ Fires Judges for Bullying Contestant — Here’s the Clip That Got Them Fired

The judges on “X Factor New Zealand” make Simon Cowell look like a pussycat. Two of them — Natalia Kills and Willy Moon, who are married to each other — were fired from the show after what’s being called a bullying incident targeting a contestant on the show, Us Magazine reports.

The incident took place on Sunday’s show. “After contestant Joe Irvine performed ‘Cry Me a River,’ British pop star Kills, 28, went on a tirade about how she felt Irvine completely copied her husband’s entire performance persona,” the story reports.

Said Kills: “As an artist who respects creative integrity and intellectual property, I am disgusted by how much you’ve copied my husband. From the hair to the suit, do you not have any value or respect for originality? You’re a laughing stock. It’s cheesy. It’s disgusting. I personally found it absolutely artistically atrocious. I am embarrassed to be sitting here in your presence having to even dignify you with an answer of my opinion.”

Moon also got in on the feeding frenzy, as you can see by watching the clip below.

“Shortly after the controversial comments, MediaWorks, the owner and operator of TV3 (‘The X Factor New Zealand’s’ network), fired the pair for what the company described as a ‘destructive tirade,'” Us reports. “This comes after an online petition was created and received more than 75,000 signatures to get Kills fired from the show.”

  1. Does this woman think her husband INVENTED wearing a suit and tie to perform rock ‘n’ roll? There are a dozen frontmen in ’90s bands who looked like this. Joe Irvine SHOULD have said, “I didn’t copy you — I copied a much better singer…”

His options: Bowie? Robert Palmer? Harry Connick Jr.? Lyle Lovett? The English Beat and about 500 more. Sheesh…
