“NBC will add six new series to a fall schedule that sports just a single hour of comedy — on low-rated Fridays,” reports Gary Levin at the website of USA Today.
Levin writes: “The new lineup, to be formally unveiled to advertisers Monday, includes a long-planned revamp of ‘Heroes,’ its 2006-10 drama, with a largely new cast, and a live variety series hosted by Neil Patrick Harris, based on a U.K. format, that includes stunts, sketches, pranks and music.”

Write James Hibberd and Natalie Abrams at Entertainment Weekly:
“Several titles not listed will debut in midseason, such as the [reboot] of sitcom ‘Coach’ starring Craig T. Nelson, ‘Chicago Fire’ spinoff ‘Chicago Med,’ the Jennifer Lopez cop drama ‘Shades of Blue,’ the Eva Longoria telenovela spoof ‘Hot & Bothered,’ and more. Two of NBC’s recent midseason debuts remain in limbo: Verdicts on ‘American Odyssey’ and ‘A.D. The Bible Continues’ will be made at a later date.”
Adds EW: “The revival of ‘Heroes’ (titled ‘Heroes Reborn’), which includes the return of fan favorites Jack Coleman (HRG) and Masi Oka (Hiro), will debut on Thursdays to help bolster ‘The Blacklist’ — which is staying in a tough slot despite losing ground on the evening this year.
