Why Debra Messing Isn’t a Fan of Jeremy Piven (Hint–It’s About Inappropriate Kissing)

On a recent episode of Bravo’s “Watch What Happens: Live” with host Andy Cohen, a viewer called in and asked guest Debra Messing who her favorite and least favorite guest stars were when she was co-starring in the sitcom “Will & Grace.”

“You know who I wasn’t a fan of at the time,” Messing said, “Jeremy Piven.”

According to Fox411, Messing then told why: When they had a kissing scene, “The very first day of rehearsal, he shoved his tongue all the way down to my heart. I was just like, ‘Whoa!’ … Every time, he went for it.”

The story says that “Piven appeared on the show in 2000 as Grace’s former boyfriend, who asks her to join him and his current girlfriend for a threesome.”

Messing’s favorite guest star was Harry Connick, Jr.

Here’s the video clip wherein Messing talks about Piven:

  1. Hey TV Week. You’re usually really current, by this was old news from a week ago and all over Yahoo News. I think one of your editors goofed.

    • Hi Mike. Yes, it did happen last Thursday. Our goof was that we missed it then, so we were catching up.

  2. See people think she was talking about the threesome scene but she wasn’t. It was when they meet up in the cafe/bookstore. The script’s directions called for a steamy kiss. The characters fight then end up in a steamy kiss with their hands on each others asses. https://youtu.be/m5m5jvJhKa8?t=4m25s I was curious if anyone writing about this actually watched the episode or just went on what Debra said. While in rehearsal of this scene they didn’t discuss it beforehand what they wanted to do, which should have happened. What actually aired explains why he probably thought he could stick his tongue down her throat.

  3. Given that Corey Feldman has suggested that Pivan molested Corey Haim on the set of Lucas, I can’t say I’m surprised- well that, and he’s a 51 year old “bachelor”.
