After Being Exposed in the Ashley Madison Hack, Josh Duggar Admits to Being Unfaithful to His Wife

“Josh Duggar admitted Thursday to leading a ‘double life’ that included viewing pornography and being ‘unfaithful to my wife,’ he said in a statement [on the Internet] — which was later edited,” NBC News reports.

Duggar was on the now-canceled TLC reality show “19 Kids and Counting.” Previously it had come out that Duggar, while a teenage, molested 5 girls, including some of his sisters.

Says the NBC News report, the first statement Duggar, 27, posted on Thursday said “While espousing faith and family values, I have secretly over the last several years been viewing pornography on the internet and this became a secret addiction and I became unfaithful to my wife.”

Then the report notes, “A revised version posted later Thursday afternoon took out all references to pornography. ‘I am so ashamed of the double life that I have been living and am grieved for the hurt, pain and disgrace my sin has caused my wife and family, and most of all Jesus and all those who profess faith in Him,’ [Duggar] continued, in both versions.”

The NBC News story also says, as we have previously reported, that “Duggar’s latest revelation comes after reports in Gawker and The Hollywood Reporter claim two accounts on the infidelity website, Ashley Madison, appear to be linked to [Duggar] who is the father of four. The site was apparently hacked this week, and personal information from millions of its users was published online.”

  1. This is just like Bristol Palin promoting abstinence and getting pregnant out of wedlock for the second time. You place yourself in the spotlight as someone who is a “Righteous Christian” who is to be an example to others and it is like putting a big “Kick Me” sign on your back. The Duggar family are every bit as guilty as Josh because they kept the molestation quiet because they didn’t want to loose their sweetheart contract with the network. Being a flawed individual isn’t the biggest issue. Telling everyone your better than they are because your a “Good Christian” is the issue. Greed triumphs again.

Thank goodness we have perfect people like you to cast stones and pronounce judgment. Keep kicking while he is down, it is the righteous thing to do Lindy. Make sure you let that whole family know how evil they are and how perfect you are. What’s that? You say something is in your eye?

Don’t recall my mentioning anything about how perfect I am. I think I said that saying so was exactly what people shouldn’t do. Perhaps you need to re-read my comment because your obviously not getting the point. Unless your perfect, and none of us are, keep your damn mouth shut…that includes you.
