News Corp. Executive Chairman and 21st Century Fox Executive Co-Chairman Rupert Murdoch, 84, is engaged to marry Jerry Hall, the former partner of Rolling Stones singer Mick Jagger. The New York Times reports that the couple became engaged over the weekend, announcing their plans today on the Births, Marriages and Deaths page of The Times of London, a newspaper owned by Murdoch.

“They were engaged over the weekend in Los Angeles, a spokesman for Mr. Murdoch said, and they appeared together at the 73rd Golden Globes ceremony on Sunday,” the NY Times notes, adding that the couple went public with their relationship back in October.

In an email statement, Murdoch’s spokesman, Steven Rubenstein, wrote: “They have loved these past months together, are thrilled to be getting married and excited about their future.”

Hall was reportedly married to Jagger in a Hindu ceremony, but their marriage was annulled in 1999, according to the report.
