NBC’s “Today” show is getting a new face, and it belongs to a veteran of another show. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Billy Bush is leaving his job as “Access Hollywood” anchor to join “Today.”

The move has been widely speculated about for months, and is still unofficial. The report cites multiple unnamed sources.

“A formal announcement about Bush’s new gig is expected to be made at NBC’s annual upfront presentation May 16 at New York’s Radio City Music Hall,” the story reports. “THR first reported NBC’s courtship of Bush in October, and the move is said to be an open secret on the ‘Access’ set. Sources close to Bush say he recently began the process of relocating from Los Angeles to New York.”

Bush is expected to move into a prominent role in the 9 a.m. hour. NBC News wasn’t commenting about the move.
