A comedian who’s a familiar face on television — and who has a history of drug issues — was arrested recently on drug charges. The AP reports that Artie Lange was arrested Sunday outside his home in Hoboken, N.J.

Lange, 49, was allegedly found with cocaine, heroin and drug paraphernalia on himself and in his car in the parking garage of his building.

“He was recently featured on HBO’s new comedy series ‘Crashing,’ which stars Peter Holmes and is produced by Judd Apatow,” the report notes. “He plays himself as a mentor to Holmes’ character who is trying to make it as a stand-up comedian.”

Lange has been a regular on the late-night talk show circuit and became a TV fixture through his appearances on “The Howard Stern Show.”
