Did Trump Really Say That? Billy Bush Clears the Air About the Notorious ‘Access Hollywood’ Tape

Billy Bush laid out the story of the infamous tape that surfaced during the presidential election in which Donald Trump can be heard making crass comments about women. In an opinion piece published Sunday by The New York Times, Bush offered his account of the “Access Hollywood” tape.

Bush confirmed that it’s Trump’s voice on the tape. “He said it. ‘Grab ’em by the pussy,'” Bush wrote.

“President Trump is currently indulging in some revisionist history, reportedly telling allies, including at least one United States senator, that the voice on the tape is not his. This has hit a raw nerve in me,” Bush added. “I can only imagine how it has reopened the wounds of the women who came forward with their stories about him, and did not receive enough attention. This country is currently trying to reconcile itself to years of power abuse and sexual misconduct. Its leader is wantonly poking the bear.”

Bush offers words of support to the women who have accused Trump of sexual impropriety, writing: “To these women: I will never know the fear you felt or the frustration of being summarily dismissed and called a liar, but I do know a lot about the anguish of being inexorably linked to Donald Trump. You have my respect and admiration. You are culture warriors at the forefront of necessary change.”

He references a number of the women’s specific allegations against Trump, including this: “Kristin Anderson said that Mr. Trump reached under her skirt and ‘touched her vagina through her underwear’ while they were at a New York nightclub in the 1990s. That makes the ‘grab ’em by the pussy’ routine real. I believe her.”

  1. So we still don’t know the answer to the question the headline poses, just Billy Bush’s thoughts on it; remember Bush is trying to act properly contrite in order to resurrect his career.

  2. Interesting how they leave out the first part of the quote: When you are a rock star they WILL LET YOU… That implies consent. Having friends who have been and are around such people, her spoke the truth. How many songs have been written about this very subject? (Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “What’s your Name” for example) He spoke the truth and that upsets Trump haters the most.
