Fox’s current revival of the venerable TV music showcase “Showtime at the Apollo,” hosted by Steve Harvey, named actress, recording artist and TV personality Adrienne Houghton as the show’s new co-host.

Houghton is currently the co-host of “The Real,” and has been nominated for an Emmy Award as Outstanding Talk Show Host.

“The first Latina daytime talk show host on English language television, Houghton rose to fame as the lead singer of the multi-platinum R&B girl group 3LW. After touring the world with Destiny’s Child and *NYSNC, she went on to become a founding member of the pop group the Cheetah Girls, who sold more than five-and-a-half million albums,” Fox said in today’s announcement.

Fox revived the “Showtime at the Apollo” format with a pair of specials hosted by Harvey during the 2016-2017 TV season, before announcing plans for a weekly version of the show. A special holiday-themed installment, “Showtime at the Apollo: Christmas,” is set to air Thursday, Dec. 14, with Harvey hosting.

The holiday special will feature performances by Snoop Dogg, Boyz II Men, Fifth Harmony and DMX.
