Lena Dunham, who scored Emmy nominations for writing, directing and acting in the HBO hit “Girls,” has been tabbed by two of Hollywood’s top filmmakers to write a feature film.

She’s been asked “by co-producers Steven Spielberg and J.J. Abrams to adapt ‘A Hope More Powerful Than the Sea: One Refugee’s Incredible Story of Love, Loss, and Survival,” reports Variety.

It’s the true story of Doaa Al Zamel in a book written by Melissa Fleming.

Variety adds that Spielberg’s Amblin and Paramount are expected to co-distribute the film around the world.

Dunham was the creator of “Girls,” which originally ran on HBO from 2012 to 2017.
